Rusty Lyon With Cigar

Whether you are gearing up for 18 holes, winding down afterwards, or taking advantage of happy hour, a visit to Rusty’s is a must. The tradition here is for the player with the lowest score on The Forrest Wager to pick up a round of drinks.

While “Rusty’s” could be a reference to out-of-practice golfers, the name also honors Rusty Lyon. Rusty was the father of Scott Lyon, the developer who spearheaded the property’s rebirth. Rusty was a commercial real estate icon in the Valley and an avid golfer.

Today, Rusty’s golf grill and lounge hosts hungry golfers and spectators at The Short Course. After a day on the links, some good-natured ribbing over food and drinks may be in order. Rusty would approve of both the views and camaraderie found at the eatery which bears his name.
